A website and navigator for Block Karlín Living, built to work on every single visit

Challenge

Svoboda & Williams needed a website for Block Karlín Living, 98 furnished rental apartments a short walk from Fragment, another project we worked on nearby, that wouldn't stop working the day rentals opened. The brand identity came from the client; our job was to build a digital tool for young people and professionals who want to rent their way into a lively Karlín, and especially for people who'd keep coming back until they found a free unit.

Process

The key difference from a typical development microsite: with rental housing, the site never really finishes with the last unit rented. Availability keeps shifting as leases start and end, so we weren't building a one-off presentation, we were building a living tool. We built a navigator with filters for layout, size and rent, and a price list that stays in sync with actual availability by connecting straight into the client's system, so visitors always see what's really on offer. One nice side note: one of our own designers found this very site, applied to Biceps because of it, got the job, and now lives in Block herself.

Solution

The result is a Webflow site with a navigator and price list that have to work reliably on every visit, not just the first one. The offer of 98 furnished apartments, from studios to three-bedroom units, went from open availability at launch to a fully rented building, with the tool tracking that shift in real time the whole way through.
