Signal Festival

We shook hands with the Signal Festival team during the wild times of COVID, when they needed to move the festival from the streets to the online world.
Since then, we’ve been lighting up not just Prague, but visitors' screens too. We created an ecosystem that guides users from buying tickets on the web to navigating via an interactive map and AR installations right in the app.
About the Relationship and the People
Jakub Zeman, the festival's COO, put it perfectly: "We share the same DNA." Light, darkness, and code. We met the Signal team at the intersection where art ends and technology begins. We knew right away we’d speak the same language. They create visual magic in the streets; we translate it onto screens. This collaboration is built on the fact that they treat us as partners, not just vendors. This allows us to experiment together and push the boundaries of what a festival app or website can achieve.
What We Created
We gradually built the festival’s entire digital footprint. It started with the main website, signalfestival.com, and seamlessly continued with the development of a mobile app for iOS and Android. It isn't just a passive pocket schedule—it serves as an interactive guide and a gateway to Signal AR, a year-round augmented reality gallery. The newest addition to the family is the website for the signalforum.com conference, which we built on Webflow for maximum content flexibility.
The Technical Solution
To ensure no one gets lost (neither visitors nor admins), we built a smart architecture. The core is a shared backend that feeds data to both the website and the mobile app, which is written in Flutter. Content is managed in one place and reflects everywhere in real-time.
- Hybrid Web Approach: The web components run on a combination of Webflow and custom development.
- Client Independence: This setup allows the client to easily edit the program and news updates without our assistance.
- Performance: Everything is fully online, stable even under the load of thousands of users during festival nights, and ready for the next season.
